Often essential oils are mixed together to create a more complex and well rounded blend. A blend of essential oils may be used to treat a physical ailment, or worn as a flavourful 'perfume'. For example, you could use only eucalyptus to treat the symptoms of a cold, or you could create a blend. Chamomile is anti-inflammatory, lavender is antibacterial and relaxing, peru balsam is an immune stimulant, and eucalyptus is a great decongestant and expectorant. It is possible to add specific essential oils to address specific symptoms. A blend of essential oils is more powerful than the sum of it's parts. It is also fun to create a combination of your favorite oils and use it as your personal scent. A little bit of base note (vetiver, sandalwood, or vanilla), with a bit more middle note (lavender or bergamot), and just a touch of top note (ylang ylang, lime or spearmint) to finish it off. I have created a few blends I enjoy and find useful. Try the pure essential oil, or try them already blended into one of my natural bases.

Bug Blend This blend works wonders for fending off the insect population. I have used it to prevent fleas on my cats, and to ward off biting bugs when camping. It can be used on cottonballs in the closet to deter moths or in a room/tent and body spray against mosquitoes and black flies. The oils used are lavender, cedarwood, lemongrass, citronella, patchouli, and tea tree. (also available in a room and body spray)

Citrus Summertime

The light, sweet scent of citrus is perfect for anyday, anytime. This blend may be used in a diffuser and makes a bright, clean room spray.

Citrus Summertime contains tangerine, mandarin, orange, lime, grapefruit and bergamot. (also available in a room and body spray and in an easy apply roll-on)

Immune Booster

This is a great blend for stimulating the immune system. It can be burned in a diffuser to cleanse the air or diluted in a carrier, to apply to the body in the Lymph node areas.

It includes lavender, tea tree, geranium, thyme, rosemary, peru balsam, frankincense, niaouli, and vetiver.

This is a really thick delicious blend. (also available in an easy apply roll-on, and diluted in sweet almond oil, and as an Immune Booster Body Balm)

Inhale Body Balm

This is a great blend for respiratory problems. It helps with sinusitis, bronchitis and even the symptoms of the common cold.

This pure theraputic grade essential oil blend, can be burned in a diffuser, or diluted in the appropriate carrier to apply directly to the body.

It includes eucalyptus, niaouli, lemon, clove, Roman chamomile, marjoram, oregano and peppermint. (also available in an easy apply roll-on, and diluted in sweet almond oil, and as an Immune Booster Body Balm)

Muscle Magic

This blend is for sore, achey, overworked muscles. It also works wonders for the inflammation and pain of arthritis, bursitis and tendonitis.

Muscle Magic contains sweet birch, wintergreen, eucalyptus, peppermint, cypress, bay, camphor and ravensara. (also available blended into a natural body balm or diluted in a massage base containing arnica and St. Johns wort oils)

Stress Release

This is a beautiful blend of floral oils. It creates a heady sweet blend, that is a perfect relaxant.

It contains neroli, lavender, rose, ylang ylang, clary sage, geranium, rosewood, and orange.

This blend makes a great personal scent, when slightly diluted. Use after a long, hard day with some Epsom salts in a bath.
